It’s what the organization plans to do and how it intends to improve the world in which it operates that makes the difference on whether it will go on to greatness, or even if it will be able to attract funding or team members to support its continuing existence.

  • The power that a clearly articulated vision statement can have on success that you achieve

Speakers Biographies:



Marc Cote is an entrepreneur, a business/executive coach and area representative with FocalPoint Business Coaching. As a coach, he leverages proven coaching program materials, personal and team development tools and his 30 years of business experience to help business leaders and executives improve their effectiveness, develop their teams and enhance their company’s performance. As an area representative, he looks for those caring and experienced business professionals that would make a great addition to his business coaching team.

Marc is the son of a second-generation business owner with a deep-seated passion for business and helping others succeed. He was also a co-founder and the COO of Accellient Partners LLC, a drug development consulting firm, Synchroneuron Inc, a venture-backed biotech and Ternus Pharma, Inc, a seed-stage start-up pharma company.

Marc was also previously the COO of Aptuit Consulting, a global biotech practice where he was responsible for managing all operating, financial & business development activities. Prior to Aptuit, Marc was with Dunkin’ Brands and had vice president roles where he was alternately responsible for accounting, tax, finance, business process improvement, call centers and shared service operations. Marc started his career in the Entrepreneurial Services Group at EY, he received a BS in Accountancy from Bentley College, summa cum laude, and earned his CPA certificate in MA where he was a licensed CPA for 17 years


Marc is a member of Boston Harbor Angels and Sky Ventures where he is an active investor. In addition, he is a Co-Chair of Mass Bio's Entrepreneur University and the Boston Chapter of The Financial Executives Networking Group.



Tony Martignetti is a certified business & executive coach. He has a passion for working with life sciences business leaders to help them gain clarity so they can make better business decisions, improve their leadership and make a bigger organizational impact. He leverages proven FocalPoint program materials, development tools and his over 20 years of business experience to help them more effectively lead, grow and positively impact the success of their organization and teams.

Tony has worked with leading life sciences companies including Sanofi Genzyme, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Sarepta Therapeutics and Momenta Pharmaceuticals. He has assisted these world class biopharma corporations in achieving and exceeding their corporate goals by providing financial and strategic leadership. Tony has also managed small businesses and ran a life sciences financial consulting business that provided strategic business planning, decision support, analytical and quantitative modeling, and R&D financial management services to small to midsize life sciences clients.
