Participants will deliver a 5-minute pitch, taking advantage of this unique opportunity to gain visibility, receive mentorship, and compete for funding. The BIOINC Pitch Competition series also acts as a gateway for attracting investors and exploring the benefits of participating in BIOINC’s borderless life science ecosystem.
The six-member Judging Panel will consist of investors, industry, and academic experts: David Fogel (Swifton, Managing Director, Investor), Eugene Buff (Director of Health Science Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Northeastern University), Jeff Berman (Co-Founder, Big Tree Innovation Fund), Courtney Metz (Site Head, Harvard Life Labs, LabCentral), James Ehret (Managing Director, Life Sciences, Bank of California) and Pranjul Shah (MIT, Investor)
A major highlight of this year’s event is the participation of a dozen European life science ventures, which will be featured in non-competing one-minute pitches. These companies are part of a strategic internationalization initiative supported by the European Innovation Council (The EIC Soft-Landing Programme in Boston), Europe’s largest public venture capital fund, managing more than €10 billion in assets.
“We are excited to see these premier startups brought by the European Innovation Council,” said Russ Yukhananov, President of Mansfield Bio-Incubator. “We look forward to opening BIOINC doors to them to establish their presence in the US”.
